We work with Action Donation Services' they will do all the paper work, pick up your donation, fix it up and and then sell it at a public auction for the highest amount possible.   10. Entrepreneur
  11. Business Owner, Entrepreneur
  12. Business Consultant
  13. Office Manager
  14. Lawyer
  15. Real Estate Broker
  16. Veteran / Active Military / Disabled Veteran
  17. Recovering Addicts / Alcoholics (Minimum 2 years clean and sober)
  18. Recovering Mental Health patients (Minimum 2 years recovered and stable)

 

Overview of  Shared Responsibilities of Board of Directors:

 

The Board will support the work of Abundant Life Social Services and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day-to-day operations are led by Abundant Life Social Services’ chief executive officer (CEO), the Board-CEO relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. Specific Board Member responsibilities include:


Leadership, governance and oversight

  • Serving as a trusted adviser to the CEO as s/he develops and implements Abundant Life Social Services’ strategic plan 
  • Reviewing outcomes and metrics created by Abundant Life Social Services for evaluating its impact, and regularly measuring its performance and effectiveness using those metrics; reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings 
  • Approving Abundant Life Social Services annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities 
  • Contributing to an annual performance evaluation of the CEO 
  • Assisting the CEO and board chair in identifying and recruiting other Board Members 
  • Partnering with the CEO and other board members to ensure that board resolutions are carried out 
  • Serving on committees or task forces and taking on special assignments 
  • Representing Abundant Life Social Services to stakeholders; acting as an ambassador for the organization 
  • Ensuring Abundant Life Social Services commitment to a diverse board and staff that reflects the communities Abundant Life Social Services serves

 

Fundraising

Abundant Life Social Services Board Members will consider Abundant Life Social Services a philanthropic priority and make annual gifts that reflect that priority. So that Abundant Life Social Services can credibly solicit contributions from foundations, organizations, and individuals, Abundant Life Social Services expects to have 100 percent of Board Members make an annual contribution that is commensurate with their capacity.


Requirements:


Interested individuals must have a (1) clean criminal background investigation (BCI); (2) clean driving record; (3) clean State of Utah Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) Child Abuse and Neglect Registry.
